About
Day of Gratitude is more than a one-day event. It is a lasting tribute to the men and women who have worn the uniform and the families who stand beside them, honoring their service and expressing the eternal gratitude of a grateful nation.
Gratitude as the American Way
We envision a nation where gratitude is more than a word or a feeling, it’s the American way of life.
Day of Gratitude looks toward a future where veterans and military families are not only thanked, but deeply valued, actively supported, and continually remembered. Endorsed by more than 20 veteran organizations across Nevada, this event reflects a growing movement that unites nonprofits, civic partners, and communities to honor our American heroes. This is where generations come together to recognize the legacy of service that has shaped our country -- and will continue to define its future.

The Collaborators
At the heart of this joint initiative of CityServe, Voice of the Veteran, and Love Has No Limits is a shared belief that service matters to our nation, to our communities, and especially to those who have served in uniform. That shared value brought us together to create Day of Gratitude in celebration of America's 250th birthday, with deep appreciation for the Las Vegas Raiders, whose support has helped make this vision possible. Little could we guess that when we hosted our first annual Day of Gratitude in 2024 how lives and communities would be transformed by a heartfelt celebration dedicated to expressing one simple sentiment: “Thanks!” We witnessed firsthand how vital this moment was and how deeply it resonated with service members and their families. It was then that we realized our nation needed more than just one day of celebration. Thus began a true movement rooted in the values of honor, gratitude, service, and lasting support.
A Sacred Tribute
Held on June 6th, the anniversary of D-Day, Day of Gratitude will feature a sacred tribute honoring the men and women who served in World War II. They demonstrated what President Lincoln hailed as “the last true measure of devotion,” that is, the courage, resilience, and sacrifice that made them “The Greatest Generation.” Help honor the soldiers whose dedication secured the freedoms that we still enjoy today. Their service shaped the course of history, laying the foundations of freedom that continue to bless generation upon generation, not only in America but around the world!
